Volta Cab – Clarissa

It takes until almost 2 minutes into the track to really get going, but from then on you know that the whole 7 minutes are worth listening to…over, and over again. This track puts you in a bit of a trance, the production is amazing and it is layered extremely well. The drawn out build up to the 5 minute point crescendo is superb. I think what makes this track work is that it fits so many moods…a chilled night with friends…after an intense weekend of partying…or just something in the background to think to. Either way, check out the soundcloud and last.fm pages, as it’s not every day you hear chill electro music from Russia.

And, of course, a track that needs no background, but seems to be the perfect complement to Volta Cab, without breaking the flow too much, The Xx’s “Islands”.
